Clear Brightness shortlisted for the John Bray Poetry Award

Puncher and Wattmann congratulate Kim Cheng Boey for achieving a shortlisting in the 2014 Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature with his collection Clear Brightness.

The John Bray Poetry Award is awarded annually as part of the Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature, for a significant selection of new work by a poet published in a book. The award is named after the late Dr John Bray for his services to Australian poetry.

There was a significant increase in entries in the John Bray Poetry Award, which rose 99 for 2014. The shortlist of five for the John Bray Poetry Award was announced in December 2013, with winners declared on March 1, 2014, during Adelaide Writers’ Week.
