Born in 1963 in Nanchang, Jiangxi, Zhang Chunhua now lives in Shanghai. He has published one book of poetry, Temperature, and
was invited to The Seventh International Poetry Festival in Malaysia in 2016. As signalled by his pen name, Youfou Shidai (Age of UFO), Zhang Chunhua sets his poetry adrift into space, away from humanity, with lingering glances at its mathematics of desire and coming sterility, its ‘thinking fish’ and ‘categories of rubbish’.
