Phyllis Perlstone, a Sydney poet, was earlier an artist and filmmaker, then turned to poetry full time. Her previous book, the edge of everything, (also published by Puncher & Wattmann) was awarded the Society of Women’s Writers Biennial book award in 2009 and was shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Poetry Prize.
