Brook Emery has published five previous collections of poetry. His books have won the Judith Wight Calanthe Prize at the Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards, been shortlisted three times for the Kenneth Slessor Prize at the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, and once for the Western Australian Premier’s Literary Award. Individual poems have won the Bruce Dawe National Poetry Prize, the Newcastle Poetry Prize, and the Max Harris Literary Award among others. He lives in Sydney by the sea.
