Product Description
Bavaria, 1938: Krank Fuss, a chicken with a deformed foot, finds herself in a small-holding of a farmer negotiating treacherous territory as the world outside hurtles towards catastrophe. She befriends Gibby, a toad who fancies themself as a frog, and the two forge an unlikely friendship as they struggle to make sense of life on the farm around them. Faced with terrible cruelty and violence, will Krank Fuss find a way to allow the delicate wonder of her being to rise above the nastiness, brutishness and brevity of her Time? Part allegory in the spirit of Animal Farm, part Art Brut parable, Krank Fuss depicts innocence encountering experience which, in its historical setting in Nazi Germany, reveals unsettling parallels with the world today.
